Funds for Teachers

Fund for Teachers is a great organization that offers full-time PK-12 teachers, with at least 3 years teaching experience, grants of up to $5,000 individually or a team of teachers may apply for up to $10,000 for a summer learning experience of their own design. This year’s application deadline is January 31, 2013. The DC Center for Global Education and Leadership (CGEL) is very pleased to partner with Fund For Teachers for the first time to offer an INFORMATION SESSION on this incredible grant opportunity.

When: Tuesday, December 11, 4:30 – 6:30 pm
Where: Columbia Heights Education Campus, 16th & Irving Streets, NW - use the Bell SHS entrance.
(Columbia Heights metro stop/Green Line) Inexpensive parking is available at Target lot one block away.

This will be your chance to meet directly with representatives of Fund For Teachers to learn more about this great program and to get answers to your questions. This event is open to any PK-12 DC public school teacher (DCPS or charter). Private and parochial school teachers are also welcome, space permitting. The DCPS Office of Human Capital is co-sponsoring this event. RSVP required.
