General Summary:
The Data Specialist supports the Assessment and Evaluation team in providing timely, accurate, and actionable data to all stakeholders at the Community Academy Public Charter School (CAPCS). The primary responsibility of the Data Specialist is overseeing attendance policies and routines, with a particular focus on identifying students for interventions and tracking interventions over time. Additional responsibilities are outlined below. This opportunity is perfect for anyone interested in supporting school leaders in using data to inform instructional practice and make decisions to help their students learn at a high level. It is also a great opportunity to build experience with owning critical projects and being responsible for outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee attendance policies and routines at the district level, including: o Establishing system-wide policies and routines o Running weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports o Coordinating with campuses to track interventions o Performing monthly audits of attendance records
· Provide support to the Director of Assessment, including: o Loading roster info onto websites o Monitoring testing and auditing materials o Analyzing data and preparing reports

Founded in 1993, the mission of the Bunche Center is to foster an awareness of International Affairs, and serve as a focal point for Howard University's diplomacy, Foreign Service, and international relations activities. At least five years of relevant academic experience and/or five years of relevant international affairs and successful management or professional experience; strong leadership skills, established excellence in interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills, and working cooperatively and collaboratively with others; strong interest in inter-disciplinary education, and the ability to effectively articulate the vision and mission of the Ralph Bunche International Affairs Center.
